12 BENEFITS FOR BREEDERS TO JOIN ABCR

ABCR supports Curly Horse Breeders in many ways. Sign up NOW and profit by the services and benefits of the American Bashkir Curly Horse Registry, the oldest Curly Horse Registry with more than 5,600 registered Curly Horses worldwide:

1. PERSONAL SUPPORT: A District Representative is at your service and happy to assist you regarding any question about the Curly Horse Registration.
2. REGISTRY SERVICES: Expect all Horse Registry Services at ABCR like issuing Pedigree Certificates, DNA sampling, Horse transfers or re-issue of missing paperwork.
3. DNA RESEARCH: We can research all our DNA profiles if needed. This way we can check if animals qualify as offspring or parents of another animal.
4. FREE SEARCHABLE ONLINE STUDBOOK: ABCR provides a fully linked ABCR Curly Horse Studbook ONLINE with more than 7,500 entries and currently 2,400 pictures including all ABCR horses. You can surf the fully linked pedigrees with pictures, explore full and half siblings, see the offspring and have a look at reverse and vertical pedigrees. You can also do trial matings and use the ABCR name generator.
5. COEFFICIENT OF INBREEDING (COI) AND PEDIGREE QUALITY: ABCR offers COI in correlation with the pedigree quality for all ABCR horses online. We encourage all of our breeders to check the COI before breeding, because a COI of below 1% is recommended to avoid inbreeding depression within a population (DGfZ (1992)).
6. SIBLINGS VIEW: ABCR offers siblings views for all ABCR horses online. Find full and half siblings of a given ABCR animal at-a-glance.
7. VERTICAL PEDIGREES: ABCR offers vertical pedigrees for all ABCR horses online. Vertical pedigrees list full siblings of each horse in the pedigree at-a-glance, representing various combinations of their parents’ genes and giving breeders insights into traits and characteristics.
8. REVERSE PEDIGREES: ABCR offers reverse pedigrees for all ABCR horses online. Reverse pedigrees show offspring of the offspring of a given animal.
9. TRIAL MATINGS: Try out matings between ABCR horses and see how conformation or other characteristics would match.
10. NAME GENERATOR: Generator for horse names based on more than 40 years of ABCR Curly Horse names – always new and creative combinations.
11. ONLINE ACCESS TO HORSE FILES: ABCR offers free read-access to the files of their ABCR horses in the ABCR cloud. All you need is a Google eMail account and proof of ownership. Send your request or questions to fileaccess@abcregistry.org.
12. BREEDERS PROMOTION: As a breeder, you are listed on the ABCR webpage. With nearly 260,000 visitors, the webpage is a great worldwide marketing platform. Breeders are also featured on the site.
